New Season Shopping : Laurence Dolige

There's a brand I've had my eye on for a while now, a brand so low key you'll be hard pushed to find a stockist, but so cool you'll buy the whole collection once you do.
Parisian label Laurence Dolige is the discerning girl's Sandro or Maje, the insider's Isabel Marant, delivering cool classics with a twist in the way that only the French really can.

The Autumn Winter 2014 collection launches end of July and I have a sneak preview of what's in store for you - think chunky turtlenecks, suede coats, checks, sequins and stripes, worn all together.
Browns, burgundies and greys are this fall/winter's key colours and Laurence Dolige hasn't missed a trick with a colour palette an aesthetically appealing mix of autumnal tones .

Shop the Spring Summer collection still online here, and wait with baited breath until you can indulge in corduroy and tailoring from Fall Winter.

Ankle Swingers

Im pulling out all the stops during this heat wave and taking my new Schuh sparkly sandals for a ride.   Never has one girl had such disco-ball feet before, it really is true love.
My ankles are also bright'n'breezy in these black culottes, Ive pretty much lived in jeans for the last 6 months so a change in lower body shape is refreshing.

A Week in SUPERGA : Day 2

It's Day 2 of my 'Week in Superga' challenge and I'm holding up well. The sun is out which means I can bare my legs, and all of a suddenly a world of outfits become available.
Spirits are high, and lifted further by the girl with the pearl necklace chilling out upon my glasses frame.

A Week in SUPERGA : Day 1

I'm a girl who loves a challenge - it's my eldest child, competitive nature. And what could be a better challenge than a style challenge involving shoes?

This week I will be showing you the versatility of my favourite sneaker brand Superga, an Italian company who have been making plimsoles for over 100 years, by styling up and wearing a pair of Superga shoes each and every day this week.

TRAINERS ALL WEEK?! I hear you cry. RACHEL DONT DO IT! THINK OF THE TERRIBLE RISKS!

But, dear reader, I am selflessly willing to put myself through the comfort trauma of wearing rubber soled, high quality, footwear just for you.

And on to Day 1 - Superga's dressed for a day of meetings...
(Disclaimer: I work in fashion - I do not advise wearing Nike hoodies to meetings if you have a serious job)

New Season Shopping

It's the warmest day of the year so far, plus payday weekend, so enter thoughts of summer clothes, beach dressing... and swimwear.
Never does one need well cut, well designed architecture more than when wearing oh-so-little on the beach, and yet spending £200 on four triangles of lycra couldn't feel more demoralising.
Enter Marysia to save the day *cue Mighty Mouse theme tune*
Beautiful swimwear without the mental price tag - THAT'S what I'm talking about.
These bikinis retail at $130 which in the Queen's monies is only £78 - a bargain when you note that slipping one on instantly transforms you into a Victoria Secrets model.
(disclaimer: this is not true).
So put down the cake, go to the gym, buy a Marysia bikini and you'll look smoking hot in time for the actual summer.
