Holiday Investments

I constantly try to inject colour into my wardrobe but it seems that I just can't get away from the staples of black, white and denim.
This summer I stocked up on off-the-shoulder tops from Asos who seemed to have the best selection, then spent lazy days throwing them on with denim and sneakers. Colour will just have to come in the form of my stack of Dana Levy friendship bracelets...

New Season Shopping

Still not over trainers. Seem to be buying them as fast as I can wear them out.
I've always been an advocate of flat shoes, as a class-A hypochondriac the idea of wearing uncomfortable shoes has never bode particularly well with me, so I think ill be plugging this trend for as long as possible.

A few of my favourites...

A Week in SUPERGA : Day 1

I'm a girl who loves a challenge - it's my eldest child, competitive nature. And what could be a better challenge than a style challenge involving shoes?

This week I will be showing you the versatility of my favourite sneaker brand Superga, an Italian company who have been making plimsoles for over 100 years, by styling up and wearing a pair of Superga shoes each and every day this week.

TRAINERS ALL WEEK?! I hear you cry. RACHEL DONT DO IT! THINK OF THE TERRIBLE RISKS!

But, dear reader, I am selflessly willing to put myself through the comfort trauma of wearing rubber soled, high quality, footwear just for you.

And on to Day 1 - Superga's dressed for a day of meetings...
(Disclaimer: I work in fashion - I do not advise wearing Nike hoodies to meetings if you have a serious job)

This shirt is from the Gap summer collection which is totally amazing. Probably the best season for Gap EVER. And I'm a girl who loves her Gap, so that sure as hell is saying something.
Star print denim, paisley tees and the perfect suede bags - the first drop is in store now.
Run don't walk.

Why do we say a tee?

And if Google doesn't know, it probably doesn't matter.

New Season Shopping

This morning I visited my favourite breakfast location in London - Berner's Tavern at the London Edition Hotel. From the beautiful ornate plasterwork on the ceilings, to the amazing art adorning the walls, this is a must visit for anyone in the area. (Plus they do a mean avocado and poached eggs on toast!)

Post breakfast I had a meeting in Selfridges and obviously had to pay a visit to the shoe room on my way in. As a flat shoe obsessive I snapped some of my favourite slip on trainers - dream new season purchases from Givenchy and Mother Of Pearl.  DOTS WIN HANDS DOWN.

AND then back to the office to get on with my day prepping for June and July GLAMOUR. I'm shooting loads next week so am busy calling in fashion samples to put on my pages. In the process of calling in I was blinded by love for the below fluffy clutch bags from River Island. Affordable new season purchases! HASHTAG WINNING.
